A band playing every Tuesday at the same club for over a decade is almost unheard of. Fats Hammond, a jazz/funk legacy band, grew a dedicated following, creating an atmosphere where all walks of life danced, laughed and celebrate each Tuesday night in Salem, Massachusetts at Dodge Street. But, ultimately, the survival of Fats Hammond was in the hands of the bars third owner, a pixelated opportunist, who tried anything and in his quest to keep the club and music alive albeit with some questionable methods.
